Luxury Bush Accommodation

What Our Guests Say

What our guests have had to say about Rhino Post Safari Lodge and Rhino Walking Safaris

  • Rhino Post Safari Lodge was excellent. We had a wonderful time. The staff was excellent. They all seemed to know our names even before we turned up. The food was truly exceptional. We were served by more than one chef. The food was absolutely top. I think that it is important to make sure that overseas clients understand that meals are included from you own marketing point of view. You might even want to beef up your online marketing with sample menus. This aspect is unusual and therefore represents a major budget saving which could make all the difference to a venue being in or out of budget. The guiding was excellent. We were guided by Joey. He was highly knowledgeable and made sure that we got the maximum value from the viewings that presented themselves. He did not rush or attempt to be the main attraction. He provided an excellent facilitated nature experience. Gerrit and Nikki provided a comforting back drop in the sense that one felt that one was being looked after by an experienced, dedicated and passionate team as opposed to merely cog in a money making machine. This intimate aspect is also a strong selling point for overseas guests who probably aren’t expecting it and are unlikely to be serial safari goers.

  • Thank-you so much for offering me the opportunity to stay at Rhino Post Safari Lodge and to experience the walking safari at Plains Camp. I loved both lodges very much and all the guides are really great, however I particularly liked the walking safari experience, and Plains Camp. Bernard Mhlanga was absolutely amazing, he is certainly the best guide in the entire Kruger Park and beating all the guides in the Sabi Sands, and he is quite well known too, many lodges I visited know of him. I really liked him and he gave us the best walking safari experience ever. Please send him my sincere thanks! Plains Camp for me is such a wonderful, secluded camp, which still has all the luxuries guests need in their rooms or at the main areas. The food at Rhino Post Safari Lodge and Plains Camp were both superb. Rhino Post was great too, rooms really spacious, perfect location and I loved the outdoor shower! Special mention must also go to Joey, great guy and he really does his best to get the sightings. Really knowledgeable too. Thanks goes to him too! Many thanks once again Michelle and Nikki, it was an overall wonderful experience, and I will definitely be putting your lodge on my priority list, and try and sell more!

  • We have just returned from our stay at Rhino Post and would like to let senior management know how very much we enjoyed our time there. It is a wonderful facility but its greatest asset is the staff, they could not have been more welcoming or worked any harder to make our stay a pleasurable one. Nikki and Gerrit were fantastic hosts and lead a team of professional, courteous individuals, to name a few: Colin, our Guide, who was very knowledgable about the many birds and animals we saw with him - amazing. Joey too with whom we had one drive but had sightings of lion, leopard, buffalo, elephant, incredible. Dora and Sindy and their colleagues whose names I didn't sadly learn but, who all offered a first rate service in the restaurant, always with a friendly smile. Brileen and Anoushka that worked behind the scenes but who also offered a friendly welcome Chefs for the delicious food and surprise meal under the stars There are many others that I cannot name but all of whom made this a holiday to remember, we cannot praise them highly enough.

  • We had a fantastic stay at Rhino Post. From the moment we arrived the staff were wonderful. They accommodated all our requests for little Jonathan and the chef made him a special pizza for dinner – which he didn’t manage to eat ‘til the next day as he had already fallen asleep by the time they delivered it to the room. We asked if we could have our dinner on our deck which they arranged for us – it was a lovely evening for my husband and myself – with Jonathan fast asleep after all the fresh air and because he spent most of the afternoon “scaring” the staff with his plastic snake!! We didn’t go on game drive and it was lovely to stay in camp and enjoy the peace and quiet. The food at all the meals was superb! I am so glad that I was able to experience Rhino Post again – it was still as lovely as I remember it to be on my last trip there – over 10 years ago!! I will not hesitate to continue recommending Rhino Post to my clients and look forward to sending you lots more business in the future. Thank you again !

  • This was our third time back to Rhino Post, and perhaps the best. It now feels like our home in Africa, and that we are surrounded by friends, not staff. Each time, we stay for longer but each time, it's never enough. From the warm welcome from Marli, Emma and Anishka, to the comprehensive, informative and often funny game drives with Bonga, Joey and Colin to the sleepouts with Bernard and Albino and the walking trails with Doug and Amos we just love this place. General managers Gerrit and Nikki have been here since the beginning ( 2003 ) and their love for the Lodge, the Park , the animals and for conservation clearly shows in everything they have here. Brian also runs a top kitchen, every meal was excellent, as so many other reviewers have commented. Lulu, Mabel ( our leopard spotter ), Dora and Sindy do a great job too. I have talked about the rooms, game drives, Plains Camp, etc. in previous reviews so this one was intended only to praise all the staff and in particular Gerrit and Nikki for making Rhino Post the ONLY option for us when we visit Kruger. Hopefully, many people planning their first, second or third trip to Africa will also have the chance fall in love with Rhino Post.
